Available literature data indicates that children are not only less vulnerable to being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but also experience the disease much easier, which is associated with certain features of the COVID-19 clinical pattern in children. Early diagnosis of COVID-19 in children contributes to timely treatment and prevention of the spread of infection. A clinical case of new coronavirus infection in a 12-year-old child is presented.
